FRANKLIN, PA- Tri City Raceway Park made the Oil Region Classic even bigger. On Saturday night, August 31, the RUSH Late Model Touring Series will be added to the program at no increase in cost to the ticket holders. The Sunday portion of the weekend remains the blockbuster as previously announced.
The Saturday program now consists of the RUSH Touring Series racing for thirty laps and $3,000 to win. The Hovis Auto & Truck Supply Pro Stocks will have two events on the docket, a $1,000 to win race, together with a King of the Hill contest paying $500 to the winner. The RUSH Sportsmen Modifieds will round out the card.
Admission prices for the Saturday program will be as follows. Adult admission will be $20. Seniors (ages 62 and up), students (ages 11 through 17), and military will be admitted for $18, all with proper identification. The children (ages 10 and under) will be admitted for free. Pit Passes will be $35, with the exception of the infants (ages 3 and under). They will be admitted for $15.
What is more, after the racing is finished on Saturday night, there will be live music, a huge bonfire, and fireworks!
On Sunday, September 1, night two of the Oil Region Classic will present the most ambitious program held under the Shiffer administration.
The BRP Modified Tour will be back for double features with the 21st Century Energy Group Modifieds. The field was set weeks ago before the rains forced a postponement of the A Main. New cars will not be added for the make-up feature, but all competitors are welcome for the full show that will follow.
In addition, the Krill Recycling 410 Sprint Cars will be part of a Sprint Car triple-play! The 4 Your Car Connection RUSH Sprints will be back in action. Completing the trifecta will be the Allegheny Sprint Tour 305 Sprint Cars.
The Hovis Auto & Truck Supply Pro Stocks will make a return engagement on Sunday.
The Sunday part of the holiday weekend will have the following admission prices. Adult admission will be $25. There will be a special two-day general admission ticket available for $40.

Then, on October 19, Tri City Raceway Park will host for the first time ever the American Big Rig Racing Series. Joining the trucks will be the Mini Stocks. More details will be announced closer to the race date.
